Technologies
The tech stack we work with every day.
Five layers, from PostgreSQL to Next.js, that we use to build and maintain systems.

We choose and maintain the technologies we actually build client systems on, from PostgreSQL to Next.js, so every new change costs less and ships faster.
Why it matters
The right technology lowers development costs.
Your choice of platform and stack determines what every change will cost for years to come. We pick both so that your third or fifth extension still goes in quickly, without rewriting half the system, which keeps your development budget predictable.
Before we propose a tool, we map the process it has to support, so our recommendation fits your goal. Sometimes that’s headless commerce with custom modules (a backend separated from the presentation layer, so pages load faster), sometimes WordPress with a well-written theme, and sometimes a simple Python script that runs automatically. If a cheaper solution is enough, we tell you upfront.

Code written for your process
We build custom MedusaJS modules and WordPress themes, so the system does exactly what your business needs.
The project stays in your hands
The Git repository, documentation and access credentials stay with you, so you can keep developing the project whenever you choose.
Tested before launch
We test every feature on a staging copy before launch, so changes reach your customers without surprises.
Ready to grow
We write readable code, so new developers who join the project can extend it faster and at lower cost.
Our stack
From database to browser.
We split the stack into 5 layers, so you can see where each technology sits in the system architecture—and which one you can replace later at the lowest cost.

Choosing a platform
The right platform for your store.
A candid comparison of 5 platforms, each suited to different situations. If you’re unsure, we recommend the one that gives you the most and flag what to watch for.
| Platform | When it makes sense | What to watch for |
|---|---|---|
| MedusaJS | Non-standard sales processes, custom product configurators, multiple markets and currencies, and integrations with systems that no off-the-shelf plugin supports. Full control over the backend and admin panel. | Requires a development team and pays off once a project reaches a certain scale—at that point, you benefit fully from control over the backend and admin panel. |
| Shopify | Fast launch, multichannel selling, no in-house technical team needed. Hosting, payments and scaling are handled by Shopify. | Transaction fees and plan costs grow with your sales. Custom logic requires additional apps or a separate backend (headless). |
| WooCommerce | A store alongside an existing content site, strong SEO, mid-sized catalogs, and full ownership of data and code. | Performance with large catalogs and heavy plugin stacks. Needs careful maintenance and updates. |
| WordPress | Company websites, campaign landing pages, blogs and content portals where your editorial team needs to work independently. | Marketplace themes can weigh more than the rest of the site combined. That’s why we write themes from scratch, so your site loads faster. |
| Next.js | A fast storefront separated from the backend (headless), web apps and customer portals—anywhere load speed and SEO matter at the same time. | Needs a separate backend to supply its data, which is why we pair it with a commerce platform such as MedusaJS or Shopify. |
How we work
From technology choice to a working system.
-
01
Process map
We start with what needs to happen in your business, so the technology we choose supports your real process. We map 3 things: how the process flows, where it touches other systems and which parts will change most often.
-
02
Choosing the stack
We recommend a platform and architecture with our reasoning and the cost of the alternatives, so you can decide based on numbers. If a cheaper solution is enough, we tell you upfront.
-
03
Iterative delivery
We work in a Git repository and build in a separate staging environment (a copy of the system where we check changes before they reach your customers). We release features in stages, so the rollout stays safe and under control.
-
04
Maintenance and development
We monitor the system continuously and handle updates, backups and new features, so you can count on it running without interruption. Documentation and access stay on your side, so you can take over the project or hand it to someone else at any time.
FAQ
Questions about technology.
I’m not a tech expert. How do I evaluate your recommendation?
You don’t need to be—that’s our job. You get the recommendation in writing, in terms of business impact: what the build costs, what a year of maintenance costs, what will be easy to change later and what will be hard. It also includes at least one alternative with a candid comparison.
We already have a system built on a different technology. Do you rewrite everything from scratch?
Almost never. A full rewrite is the most expensive and riskiest path, and your business gets nothing new for the entire time it takes. Far more often, we take over the existing project, clean it up and develop it incrementally. A full migration makes sense only when the technology genuinely blocks growth, and even then we do it in stages.
Will I be locked into working only with you?
No. We work with open, widely used technologies such as PHP, Python and Next.js, the code goes into a repository you own, and access to servers, domains and third-party services belongs to you. If you decide to switch vendors, we hand over the project along with its documentation.
Do you work with our in-house team?
Yes, it’s a common model. We join to support a specific area—integrations, performance, security or the payment layer—work in a shared repository and go through the same code review process as the rest of your team. If you only need advice, we also offer standalone architecture consulting without writing any code.
Do you stick to one technology no matter what?
No. Many projects come down to a simple script or integration, because that’s all it takes to solve the problem at a lower cost. If something can be done more simply than the original idea assumes, we tell you before we start estimating the build budget.
Not sure what to build it on?
Email us a description of the process the system needs to handle. We reply within one business day with questions, then propose an architecture and the most cost-effective path to your goal.
