Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on the user’s device (e.g., a computer or smartphone) while browsing websites. They allow the user’s device to be recognized and the website to be adapted accordingly, which makes it easier to use its various features.

2. How do we use cookies?

On our website LifeDigital.pl, we use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Statistical: cookies allow us to analyze how users interact with the website, which helps us improve its structure and content without personally identifying individual users.
  • Functional: they enable the website to work properly by remembering user sessions and preferences, such as the selected language or privacy settings.

3. Browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage)

In addition to cookies, the website saves three short entries in your browser’s storage. Entries in persistent storage (localStorage) remain after you close the browser, and entries in session storage (sessionStorage) are deleted when you close the tab. The entries themselves stay on your device and contain no data that can identify you:

  • ldi_lang_choice (localStorage): your decision in the box that suggests the German version of the website, saved together with its date. We save it only when you click one of the options in the box or close it with the × button or the Esc key. If you choose “Auf Polnisch bleiben” (“Stay in Polish”) or switch to the German version, the entry is kept for 180 days; if you close the box, it is kept for 30 days. When that period ends, the website deletes the entry the next time a visit starts on a Polish page, and the box may appear again.
  • ldp_logo_seen (sessionStorage): records that the logo animation in the menu has already played, so you see it only once per browser tab.
  • ld_rating_closed (sessionStorage): records that you closed the customer rating badge in the bottom-left corner of the Polish pages, so it does not reappear in the same browser tab.

When the box or the rating badge appears and when you click them, Google Analytics records this as statistical events, like other events on the website. If your browser’s language settings do not determine which version to suggest, the box also uses a country code that Cloudflare determines from your IP address. We do not store this code. For details, see our privacy policy.

You can delete all of these entries by clearing cookies and site data in your browser settings.

The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA. This service runs in a frame from the google.com domain and may save its own cookies and data there; see our privacy policy (item 6).

4. Managing cookies

We set statistical cookies (Google Analytics) and marketing cookies only after you give your consent in the banner that appears on your first visit. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the “Cookie settings” button in the website footer.

Most web browsers accept cookies by default; however, users can manage them independently. Browser settings can be changed to block the automatic handling of cookies or to notify the user each time cookies are sent to their device. Detailed information on the options and methods for handling cookies is available in your web browser’s settings.

5. Consequences of not accepting cookies

Restricting the use of cookies may affect some of the features available on the website.

6. Changes to the cookie policy

We reserve the right to make changes to this cookie policy. Any change will be published on this page to keep users informed.

Thank you for using our website. If you have any questions about our cookie policy, please contact us using the form on our website.
